RAM 4×4 Direct Connect

The BOSS Ram 4×4 Direct Connect is a purpose-built underdeck air compressor system engineered specifically for Ram 4×4 trucks. This direct-connect design interfaces with the Ram transfer case and drivetrain to deliver PTO-driven rotary screw compressed air — no modifications to the factory 4×4 system required. A bolt-on solution for fleet operators and service truck upfitters running Ram 2500/3500 4×4 platforms.

The BOSS® RAM DIRECT CONNECT is designed for the Dodge Ram Truck Series with 4×4. This simple design allows for the use of the PTO without the complexity of being hydraulically driven. Perfectly matched to one of our airends, this system will drive any air compressor from 50cfm to 185cfm depending on your requirements. By simply adjusting the engine speed control, the compressor will produce the cfm continuously. Once the RAM DIRECT CONNECT is engaged, engine torque and horsepower are transmitted to the air compressor via a properly sized tubular drive shaft. The speed control for the compressor modulates according to air demand, which offers fuel savings, as well as, reduces wear and tear on the vehicle’s engine. When the job is complete, simply disengage the RAM DIRECT CONNECT and continue to the next job. For this system, the 2017 Dodge Ram Truck Series must have the Order Code LBV for the Left hand PTO Opening on the transmission.
