The BOSSGEN integrates directly into your service truck as a permanent underdeck PTO generator — not an afterthought add-on. Mounted below the bed, driven off the PTO driveshaft, controlled by the truck's own electronic engine management, the BOSSGEN delivers precise 60Hz AC power with ±2% frequency and ±2% voltage regulation from no load to full load. No separate engine to fuel, service, or repair.

Available in 6.5 or 10.0kW models.

The BOSSGEN series takes up no bed space, and with only the vehicle engine to maintain, life just got easier! With fewer parts, the generator now has more mobility.

The BOSSGEN is ideal for plastic pipe fusion, night lighting, pumps, heaters, heating irons, electrical tools, sensitive computer equipment, and more.

Quantity of one (1) BOSSGEN model 6.2 PTO shaft drive underdeck generator(s) to include the following as standard equipment.

  • Generator specifications; lifetime double sealed pre-lubricated bearings, drip proof construction, brushless design, maintenance-free, with one year warranty in material and workmanship from date of purchase.
  • Generator drive consists of the following:
    1. A side-mount PTO and driveshaft that powers the generator without belts, pulleys or chains.
    2. Generator bracket mounts to truck frame rail.
  • Generator frequency held within ±2% of 60 Hz and shall have voltage control of ±2% from no load to full load by electronic engine.
  • Generator interface with truck’s electronic engine:
    1. Programmed electronically to provide constant input speed to the generator during varying loads on the engine.
    2. Generator overspeed protection to disengage PTO if RPM limits at the generator are exceeded.
    3. Interface wiring of generator with electronic engine will override all other speed change requests on multiple speed systems when other auxiliary equipment are being used.
  • Instrumentation and receptacles to include:
    1. One (1) voltmeter.
    2. One (1) 125 volt 15 amp duplex receptacles.
    3. One (1) 125 volt 30 amp single twist lock receptacles.
    4. All receptacles have weather tight covers and can be panel or remote mounted per the customer’s request.
  • Circuit panel box including two GFI breakers: one (1) 20 amp GFI and one (1) 30 amp GFI (Optional box including one (1) 20 amp GFI and two (2) 15 amp GFI’s).
  • Installation
  • Generator mounting bracket attached to truck frame rail and aligned to maintain specified industry standards for driveline operating angles.
  • All material and procedures will follow applicable sections of the current National Electric Code.
